August 2025 – Our work on boron-selective Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling was highlighted by Vapourtec as an application note.

July 2025 – Dr. Sharma was selected to participate in course development for the Advanced Workforce Center (AWC) at UMSL on the topic Enabling Technologies in Organic Synthesis.

May 2025 – Congratulations to Dr. Laura Yesenia Vazquez Amaya on the successful defense of her PhD thesis at KU Leuven, Belgium. Dr. Sharma co-supervised her doctoral research.

  • 16 May 2026: Vinay Thatikonda and Ignatius Treza Gatla successfully obtained their Master’s degrees from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. We congratulate them on this significant academic achievement.
  • 6 May 2026: Congratulations to our Ph.D. student, Vinay Thatikonda, on the successful completion of his Independent Proposal (IP) Examination, an important milestone in his graduate research.
  • 4 May 2026: Naomi Collis was awarded the LOL Barton Scholarship in recognition of her academic excellence and research contributions.
  • 28 April 2026: Our group participated in the Sci‑Mix Event organized by ACS STL and the API Innovation Center. Dr. Rajesh Kumar (Postdoctoral Fellow), Vinay Thatikonda (Graduate student), and Ignatius Treza Gatla (Master’s student)  showcased their research through poster presentations, highlighting our group’s continued engagement with the scientific community.
  • 25 April 2026: At the 38th Organic Day held at the University of Missouri – Columbia, our team showcased diverse research contributions. Dr. Sharma gave an invited talk. Dr. Rajesh Kumar (Postdoctoral Fellow), Vinay Thatikonda (Graduate student), and Ignatius Treza Gatla (Master’s student) delivered poster presentations, demonstrating strong interdisciplinary involvement across all levels of training.
